The Sand In The Hourglass

The sand in the hourglass fallen out of mercy.
I wanted to stop the moments but,
It slipped wildly through my fingers.
I always thought that our stars collided and
It sent the shimmers of light to our souls.
But, how easily a flicker of light boomed and
It turned you into a stack of ashes.
Once again, the hourglass have started it’s merciless journey,
But there is no us this time,
Just unfulfilled desires and shattered dreams.
